[There's a lot that goes unsaid in this e-mail. Like the fact that Light remembers being home for a few brief moments and how in those moments, absolutely nothing had changed. How Light had found himself sitting in the very same chair in the midst of crippling disappointment, and it was only after he'd blacked out again, and found himself on this familiar beach that he was even cognizant of the fact that all this--Kernos, the island, monsters, dying--had ever taken place. Dying. Dying had hurt. But above and beyond that, dying was terrifying. No. Is terrifying, because now he's no longer sure if being home for that moment had been a hallucination--the proverbial tunnel of light--or reality. In either case, Light is grateful that no one is bearing witness to how his hands are shaking, and that the delete key erases all evidence of deviation from his usual collected demeanor.]

Misa bounced in place on her bed as she read the short message again and again, filled with reckless energy but nowhere to direct it.]

[Knowing that this is the sort of reaction he'll have to deal with when seeing Misa again is making it difficult for Light to remember why he had been admittedly relieved to discover that Misa was still here a few minutes ago. He briefly considers the possibility of maintaining communication with Misa solely through email, but there is one obvious problem with this approach: The network isn't secure.
He has already frowned at how quickly Misa accepted his identity based solely on the e-mail. Despite the encryption Light had quickly written in to prevent this, it would in theory be easy enough for the people running the network to hack into his email. The same is obviously true on Misa's end as well. Ironically the only reason Light is less inclined to believe the programmer has engineered Misa's response is because of the emotes that he had been so disdainful of.
What's frustrating is that while he could easily verify Misa's identity by meeting her in person, after he's seen his body on the network, he can't even rule out the possibility that Kernos has body doubles. This theory hinges strongly on whether or not Light had actually been home or not, but now that the idea is in his mind, it's not leaving either. Of course, by that reasoning, Light had no reason to trust anything at all. Unfortunately, that left him without allies, and allies were vital in this goddamn place. A leap of faith then.]
Fine. You'll find it in your locker. I trust you're smart enough to come up with a good lie about where you got it from.
I contacted to you tell you about something else I have for you. In your locker is temporary tattoo. You're familiar with those, right? Remove the film and place it against your skin, no water needed. Make sure to put it in a place where L will not notice it. I would suggest your backside or somewhere on the thigh, but it's up to you. As long as the skin that compass design is on remains unbroken, you will not be able to die. No matter what. If the skin there becomes damaged, the design will vanish. If you happen to be mortally wounded at the time, you will die. Any questions?

That sounds prety crazy... is there any way to remove it other than breaking the skin?
AND Y WOULD L NOTICE IT???!!??
text / locked 80%
And why wouldn't he? He is observant and he is male. Above all else you cannot become careless around him.
